However, they are part of a terrible reality that the food industry does not want anyone to know. Especially when it comes to marketing organic and supposedly cruelty-free milk.

When the vaquitas are just born, they are snatched from their mothers' side and locked up here, so that they begin to live on their own. They have no opportunity to learn to walk properly or go out to graze, and most of the males are destined for slaughterhouses.

It is here where the animals fulfill the natural cycle of their life, from developing to dying, passing through giving birth to other cows that suffer the same fate.

It is a terrible thing to realize the conditions in which they live. Perhaps we are not doing well to continue consuming milk and beef, after realizing this atrocity.
